Privacy Policy
We are a fabric business, not a data business. This page explains what we collect when you deal with us, why we hold it, and how to have it removed.
Who we are
TDM Fabrics Pvt Ltd is a fabric trading house based in Delhi, India, dealing in grey and dyed fabrics for the garment and furnishing trade. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to TDM Fabrics Pvt Ltd. Where you see “you”, we mean anyone who contacts us, requests samples, subscribes to stock alerts, or browses this website.
What we collect
We only ask for what we need to quote, sample and supply:
- Enquiry and sample details — your name, company, phone number, email address, delivery address, and the specifications you send us (construction, width, quantity, shade references).
- Stock alert subscriptions — the email address you enter, and nothing else.
- WhatsApp correspondence — messages, photographs and captions you send to our business number, including fabric images shared for listing on this website.
- Basic website usage — pages visited, approximate location by region, browser and device type, collected in aggregate by our hosting provider. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell this data.
Why we hold it
- To answer enquiries, prepare quotations and despatch free samples.
- To process, deliver and invoice orders, and to arrange transport.
- To tell you about new arrivals and last lots, if you have asked us to.
- To publish fabric listings on this website when a member of our team submits them for the catalogue.
- To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations in India.
Who else sees it
We do not sell or rent your information. It is shared only where the work requires it:
- Couriers and transporters, who receive the delivery name, address and phone number needed to complete a shipment.
- Mills and processors, where an order has to be produced or finished to your specification. They receive the specification, not your contact details, unless you ask us to introduce you.
- Service providers who run this website — our hosting platform, our database and file storage provider, the mapping service embedded on the contact page, and the messaging platform behind our WhatsApp business number. Each processes data on our instructions.
- Our accountants and auditors, or a public authority, where the law requires disclosure.
Some of these providers operate servers outside India. Where that happens, the transfer is limited to what the service needs to function.
Automated fabric listings
Photographs and descriptions our staff send to our WhatsApp business number are read by an automated system that drafts a catalogue entry — the fabric name, composition, weight, width and shades. This applies to fabric information only. It is not used to make decisions about you, and customer enquiries are never fed into it.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage to keep your sample request list intact as you move between pages, remember your position in the catalogue, and measure aggregate traffic. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Blocking cookies in your browser will not stop you browsing the catalogue, though your sample list may not persist.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and sample records are kept for as long as the trading relationship is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you reorder. Invoices and related records are held for the period Indian tax law requires. Stock alert subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Keeping it safe
Access to our systems is restricted to staff who need it, protected by passwords and served over an encrypted connection. No system is perfect, but we do not keep payment card details on this website at any point.
Your choices
Write to us at sales@tdmfabric.com and you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your details, where we are not required to keep them;
- stop sending you stock alerts — every alert also carries an unsubscribe link.
We will respond within a reasonable period, and there is no charge.
Children
This is a trade website. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting existing customers will be notified by email.
